Aim:
The aim of the All4R&D project is to accelerate research, innovation, knowledge and technology transfer in Bosnia and Herzegovina through enhancing strategic academia-industry alliances.
Mission:
Establishing of R&D Unit (Research & Development Unit) At the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Sarajevo. The R&D Unit is established together with principal industry partner involved in ALL4R&D Erasmus project, it is building company Winner Project Sarajevo. This Unit is open and collaborate with a wide spectra of industry partners. They come from various sector, mostly in connection with building industry, such as construction companies, design companies, consulting companies, IT-companies etc. Some of them are involved in more different activities and include even laboratories and research activities.
Important foundations for R&D Units establishing were previous activities of the Institute for Structures and Materials of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo. The teaching and research activities at civil engineering faculties cannot be conducted in a right way without cooperation with building industry sector. The new R&D Unit in Sarajevo will support and expand this cooperation.
Our R&D Unit reinforce knowledge transfer between academia and industry, with intention to bring new ideas and innovations.
The main activities are: research projects, with the intention that the majority of the new proposals come from the industry, teaching activities, mainly through LLL-courses, design and consulting projects in close cooperation with the partners from industry and development sector, tests on structural components upon the demand from construction and consulting companies.
The participants at the different activities are: university professors and assistants, engineers from partner companies, doctoral and master students, some of them already engaged in industry sector.
Vision:
R&D unit in Sarajevo intend to offer new and innovative opportunities in research and education. It will enhance career development and employability of students and alumni.
R&D Unit will be the place of excellence, where the new ideas and new procedures will be supported and developed in mutual academia and industry interest.
Common research project will yield results, proposals and technical recommendation, including modernisation of technical codes, which will be applicable and important for everyday engineering practice.
The research projects and other R&D Unit’s activities will generate incomes, which could be invented in further development of the Unit and academia-industry cooperation.
The results of R&D Unit activities will influence in positive way the curricula development of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The activities will enlarge interests for doctoral studies and generally for scientific research, implemented in cooperation academia-industry, resulting in more “industry” doctoral thesis.
