Project objectives
Strengthening the capacity of academic institutions to be able to respond on needs of the GI industry:
- Establishing new and innovative forms of business-academia cooperation to:
- Support interaction in teaching/learning processes
- Business-academia platform supporting excellence in geoinformatics.
- Develop innovative teacher training programs:
- Practical teaching/learning methodologies
- Content for technology-based courses in geoinformatics leaned on business-driven needs and experience.
- Implement state-of-the art techniques in geoinformatics teaching process.
Project target groups
Major target groups:
-
- HEI students educated in geoinformatics (and related) study programmes and course,
- HEI teachers teaching geoinformatics (and related) courses,
- geoinformatics business sector companies,
and three secondary target groups:

- professionals in field of geoinformatics, geodesy, ICT and related disciplines,
- HEI’s providing study in field of geoinformatics (and related) disciplines and
- governmental authorities, public administration and agencies.

Expected results
- Insight in current status of business-academia cooperation, SURVAY REPORT
- Set of business-driven problem-based practical cases in field of technologically advanced application areas stored in developed repository
- Business-academia cooperation platform designed and established
- Designed practical parts of GI courses loaded in Book of Knowledge
- Designed set of LLL courses in field of GI and reated fields
- Number of designed courses implemented in partner HEI’s curriculum and LLL courses piloted/lectured to students and professionals.
- Inclusion of partner countries business and academic entities in international (European) geoinformatics activities
- Sustainability Plan which will guarantee the continuation of launched activities
